Frontier Airlines
Denver's original hometown airline. From 1950 to 1986, the first Frontier flew the Rocky Mountain west — small towns, high fields and short runways — on Convairs and then 737s out of Stapleton.
Everything on the board for Frontier Airlines
Denver's original hometown airline
The first Frontier flew the Rocky Mountain west for thirty-six years — small towns, high fields and short runways, on Convairs and then 737s out of Stapleton. It shut down on 24 August 1986; the Frontier flying today is a different company that took the name in 1994. Our Frontier designs draw on the original years — the marks crews wore out of Denver.
