BOAC

The Speedbird from Heathrow to everywhere. From 1939 to 1974, BOAC flew the Empire routes, put the first jet airliner into service with the Comet, and wore the Speedbird on VC10s and 707s until it became British Airways.

THE STORY

BOAC takes good care of you

The British Overseas Airways Corporation flew the Empire routes through the war, put the world's first jet airliner into service with the Comet in 1952 and wore the Speedbird on VC10s and 707s from Heathrow to every corner of the old map. It merged into British Airways on 31 March 1974. Our BOAC designs draw on the Speedbird years — the marks crews wore from the Comet to the first 747s.

Every garment is printed when you order it, in the USA, with the disclaimer on the label: an independent tribute, for the people who remember.
